About

The University of Pittsburgh is committed to research, academic excellence, and strong communities. Its makerspaces engage students in hands-on learning, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and exploration of ideas and practices, and build community through a holistic approach to the University experience. Makers.pitt.edu collects and communicates information about the diverse range of creative, collaborative, makerspaces available across Pitt's campuses.

The initial design for this site was created in 2017 by Swanson School of Engineering student Nick Petro. We recognize the creative process as an ongoing one and welcome your feedback on the design and usefulness of this site. That feedback will be used in future site iterations.

Questions about availability of resources in a specific Pitt makerspace should be directed to that space's contact point, included in the List view.

General questions about makers.pitt.edu can be sent to Kit Ayars, Director of the Center for Creativity at Pitt.
